The Cheetah

May 22, 2008

Hi again. Today I’ll tell you about the cheetah. A cheetah is a big cat, like the tiger. Most people know that the cheetah is the fastest land animal on Earth in a short distance. Cheetahs have spots to look cool. Just joking! They need spots to camouflage when they are catching they’re prey. Like tigers, lions, leopards, pumas and other big cats, cheetahs also have retractable claws. Big cats are kinda like cats, only bigger. Ha ha! Well, that’s all I know about cheetahs.

Solar Eclipse

May 15, 2008

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth so that the Sun blocked by the Moon. This can only happen during a new moon, when the Sun and Moon are in conjunction as seen from the Earth. Solar eclipses happen very rarely. The next eclipse will happen on August 1, 2008, so be sure to watch it!

This is a video of an eclipse that happened in 2006.

Smileys

April 5, 2008

Hello again, friends. This time, I’m going to tell you about smileys. The proper name for smileys are emoticons, but they can be called smilies or smileys. Smileys are used to express feelings and emotions without putting them in words. Smileys are supposed to be used at the end of sentences, but they can also be used in the middle of a long sentence. Do NOT overuse smileys because they might block your comments or posts. Here are some examples of smileys:

Hi, welcome back to my blog. Last week was my school’s annual swimming gala, so I’m gonna tell you about it. Did you know that tigers are excellent swimmers? Sorry, I got a bit carried away. The swimming gala took place on the 24th of February. There are four houses in my school. First place was HARIMAU , second place went to SELADANG , BERUANG came in third and HELANG came in fourth. That’s about it, I think. TTFN (Ta Ta For Now)!
